iCal / ICS calendar

With the ICS format (iCalendar), your bin collection dates work in every common calendar – from Outlook and Thunderbird to Google Calendar and the calendar on iPhone and Android. Download the dates once as a file, or subscribe to a calendar that updates itself.

1. Search your address on the home page

Enter street, house number, postcode and town in the address search. If your address is supported, you will see the next collection dates with the calendar options right below.

Go to the address search

2a. Download the ICS file

Download ICS gives you a file with all known dates, each with a reminder the day before. Open it with a double click or import it into your calendar. An import is a snapshot: new or rescheduled dates are not added automatically.

2b. Subscribe to the calendar (recommended)

Below the dates you will find the subscription URL. Copy it into your calendar or click Open in Calendar App – your calendar app then asks whether to add the subscription. A subscription updates itself, so rescheduled collections, for example around public holidays, reach you too.

How the subscription URL is built

You can also put the subscription URL together yourself, for example for scripts or smart home systems. Replace the placeholders with your address:

https://binable.app/download/ics/subscribe?street=Musterstra%C3%9Fe&houseNumber=1&zip=12345&city=Musterstadt&country=DE
Special characters in the street must be URL-encoded (e.g. ü → %C3%BC, ß → %C3%9F). Use webcal:// instead of https:// to open the calendar app directly.

Supported calendars

The subscription works with every calendar that supports iCalendar subscriptions, for example Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, Nextcloud and Home Assistant.

How often a subscribed calendar is refreshed is up to the calendar app – usually between a few hours and a day.
